Assembling the Chain, the ‘Isabela, a Negro’ Record, and What the Cumulative Case Does and Does Not Establish

The Once-silenced now have a voice, and their story spans multiple generations. This research tells their perspective, the people of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade and their lived experiences.

1. The Assembled Chain

The series has moved through:

• a scattered people (Part 1),

• a Jewish thread reaching the West African coast within an expelling Iberian world (Part 2),

• the religious-legal machinery of enslavement (Part 3),

• the two trades (Part 4), and

• the genetic question (Part 5).

Part 6 assembles these into a single view and states the cumulative verdict.

1a. The Ships Bridge — Deuteronomy 28:68 at Its Fullest Scale

Part 1 established, as DOCUMENTED, that the Roman dispersion (70–135 AD) is the majority academic reading of ‘brought into Egypt again with ships… sold… and no man shall buy you’ (Deut 28:68) — Josephus's captives shipped to Egypt, and the market glut at Hebron and Gaza after Bar Kokhba. That finding is not overturned here. What follows is the series' own argued case, built on top of it: that the Trans-atlantic trade fulfills the same verse at a scale, distance, and totality the Roman dispersion does not match.

• Ships: the Roman dispersion moved captives across the Mediterranean world by sea and overland; the Transatlantic trade moved an estimated 12.5 million people by ship, specifically and only by ship, across an ocean — the literal, sustained mechanism of Deut 28:68 repeated for nearly four centuries.
