Faith to Move Mountains

The concept of faith is central to our walk with YaHWaH. In Matthew 21:20-22, Yeshua Ha Mashiach (Jesus the Christ or Yahawasha Hamashiach) teaches that if we have faith, we can move mountains. But what does this mean, and how can we apply it to our lives?

To understand this, let's look at the context of Yeshua's statement. In Matthew 21:20-22 - 20 Seeing this, the disciples were amazed and asked, “How did the fig tree wither all at once?” 21 And Jesus answered and said to them, “Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it will happen. 22 And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

The mustard seed was a common metaphor for something small in ancient Jewish culture and in Matthew 17:20 mustard. Yeshua emphasizes that even a small amount of faith can accomplish great things when it's placed in YaHWaH.

This teaching is echoed in Psalm 46:1-11, where the psalmist writes about YaHWaH being our refuge and strength. In verse 2, it says, "Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea." This imagery of mountains falling into the sea resonates with Yeshua's statement about telling a mountain to be cast into the sea.

The power of faith is not just about achieving specific outcomes but about trusting in YaHWaH's power and promises. In 2 Corinthians 6:1-13, the Apostle Paul urges us not to receive YaHWaH's grace in vain, emphasizing the importance of living a life that reflects our faith.
